Chris Wolever, CFA, CPA, founded Wolever Advisory to give founders and private business owners access to integrated financial leadership — without assembling separate providers for bookkeeping, reporting, forecasting, strategic finance, and transaction support.
Over more than two decades his work has crossed the full financial lifecycle of a business — accounting, reporting, and cash planning at one end; valuation, diligence, and sell-side M&A execution at the other. That includes leading and supporting sell-side processes representing more than $1.5 billion in aggregate transaction value across prior corporate and advisory roles, working alongside owners, counsel, tax professionals, lenders, and counterparties.
Chris also brings direct operating experience. In prior finance and commercial leadership roles he was accountable for margin, revenue, and the reporting behind both — closing the books, defending the forecast, coordinating the audit, and building the finance team that had to sustain it. Advising on those problems is a different thing from having owned them.
That combination — accounting discipline, analytical rigor, operating experience, and transaction judgment — shapes how Wolever Advisory works today: understand the numbers, identify what matters, and help management act with confidence.
